Work at your own pace
Wow, I can't believe I'm done. This was HUGE, but it was also incredibly cool. Loved this challenge. I could basically do whatever I wanted, go wild, but had the prompts to guide me. So I really like some of the things I created here.
So lately I love those tumblr graphics - somehow 500x500 is exactly the right format for me to work with. I'm bad at making icons, and wallpapers are too big so I don't really know what to do either, but tumblrs - I can suddenly work with effects I was never capable of using. Yay!

great job on finishing a blackout bingo :D
I love your coloring in yellow, and nice composition for black and white :)

Thank you! :)
And congrats on the blackout to you, too! I thought this was one of those challenges where you see how many points you could get and I really couldn't NOT finish the whole thing :D

It was super painful when the limit was only 500KB, I had to make tiny little gifs just to maintain the quality.
And yes so much on CS5, before discovering it I used to make gifs using 3 different softwares, so much work.
Yes, I loved this challenge too! It was a lot of fun and I love challenging myself to make better graphics or attempt styles I've never tried before. Points are nice, too, lol!

I just used GIMP to animate my gifs before (and an older Photoshop version to edit the graphics), and as far as I know you can't influence what it does to your image quality... I even felt stupid making gifs because I thought there had to be a better way. Saved every frame individually, and when something looked wrong (which it did most of the time because of the extreme color reduction without dithering) I basically had to start over. Wow, I'm looking forward to my new life with CS5 now :P
