2 Graphics for The Sorting Hat Challenge

Phedre is a spy - a courtesan taught the skills of pleasure and intrigue side by side. She treasures learning and information, and has done herself ill in her search for knowledge. Very rarely does she admit that her knowledge is incomplete or that another has the best of her in a battle of wits, something that has nearly gotten her and those she loves killed on several occasions. She is secure in her superiority over others, those who have not received the training she has, which nearly got her killed the her kingdom overrun. Some might argue that her bravery deserves her Gryffindor; but she doesn’t do what she does because she is brave, thought she is. She does it because she can’t stand to not know what she will learn next if she keeps going.

We have an interesting case of resorting here with Vanyel – he was a Ravenclaw before he was Chosen and a Gryffindor after. Or it might be more accurate to say that he was a raven before his magical gifts came online and a lion after. Pre-Chosen Vanyel had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He risked and received beatings, ridicule, and ostracization. When Vanyel was Chosen he didn’t lose his thirst for knowledge, exactly; it just became a secondary concern, with the need to protect his people coming to the forefront. He stops analyzing situations before entering them and throws himself into danger instead, always with the intention of sparing someone else.
